Obituary of Marian May Pocsai

Marian May Pocsai, beloved wife of forty-two years of Julius Pocsai, passed away gracefully with her family by her side on May 14, 2007. Marian was born in England on September 20, 1926. She immigrated to Canada in 1953 and after a brief stay in Ontario she moved to Calgary where she married Julius in 1964. She was a devoted mother and wife and valued spending time with her brothers and sisters. Marian was an avid rambler in her youth and always enjoyed taking walks. She had numerous five pin bowling trophies and remained active into her late seventies, enjoying yoga, aqua size, weaving and ballroom dancing with the Gliders. In 1994 Marian and Julius were made lifetime members of the Renfrew Community Association where Marian served as both secretary and coordinator of the newsletter. She was a witty and gentle soul who enjoyed a good laugh, she will be missed by all her family and friends near and far. Marian’s children Erika and Stephen; and grandchildren Kyra and Kailen will lovingly remember her. Her brother Philip Dodd; and numerous nieces and nephews will also miss her.
