Obituary of Kenneth Waite

Kenneth Waite, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital on, Saturday, May 12, 2007. Ken was born in London, Ontario on January 25, 1928. In 1946 Ken joined National Drug (McKesson)and subsequent transfers took him to Calgary in 1949, Toronto in 1951 and Vancouver in 1965. He returned to Calgary in 1977 as Vice President and General Manager of the Alberta National Drug Company and was appointed Vice President, Western Region of Medis Health (McKesson) in 1988. Upon retirement, Ken authored a book on the history of the Pharmaceutical industry in Canada. A long-time member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Ken completed his ATH degree from Thornloe University, Sudbury, Ontario in 1995. Ken is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Elizabeth (Betty); two daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and Rolf Eugster of Vancouver and Barbara and Dan Kanuka; son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Kim Waite of Calgary, and eight grandchildren: Peter, Mark and Christine Eugster; Suzanne, Gloria and William Kanuka, and Theodore and Astrid Waite. He is also survived by his younger sister Lois Stewart of London, Ontario, and by numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church (903 – 75th Avenue S.W.) on Friday, May 18, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. R.H.
