Obituary of Toshiye Nakatsu

Toshiye Nakatsu of Calgary passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the age of 81 years. Toshiye was a little lady with a big heart. She truly cherished the time she spent with her family and with her circle of very close friends – her window-shopping group, card-playing group, craft-making group, and ningyo-making group. She was truly grateful for the time she had with her family and friends. Toshiye is survived by her sons, Ted (Jean) of Calgary, Dick of Prince George, BC and Keith (Karen) of Guelph, ON; daughter Jessie (Susumu) Okada of Zushi, Japan; and nine grandchildren, Teri (Geoffrey) Grant, Emi, Kimi, Jamie, Sarah, Daniel, Go (Kazuko), Yoku (Eunhee), and Yo; and great-granddaughter Nao. She is also survived by her two brothers, Yasuo (Kumiko) of Vancouver and Shukuji (Kuniko) of Osaka, Japan; and sister Kazue Koyama of Tokyo, Japan. She was predeceased by her husband Kanichi in December 1982. A Private Family Service will be held in Calgary. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Vancouver, BC.
