Shirley Mason

Obituary of Shirley A. Mason

With characteristic determination and strength, our “Shirl” faced failing health due to cancer and now God has mercifully taken her into His arms. Born in The Pas, MB on March 17, 1946, Shirley grew up with a loving family in the Canora, SK area where she learned to embrace life and its opportunities and met her eventual husband Paul. Calgary then became the base from which Shirley enjoyed the challenges of golfing and bridge, the excitement of travel, and the absolute devotion to the care of her mother Anne. Predeceased in 1997 by her father Alex, Shirley will be deeply missed by her loving and ever-attentive husband Paul; mother Anne; brother Jerry (Kathy); aunts; cousins; nieces, and nephews, who were very special in her life; and many good friends. Shirley will be remembered for the enthusiasm and passion that she poured into every activity, for her love of all animals, and her devotion to her parents. A Celebration of Shirley’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
