My sincere condolences to the Couillard family. I just happened to be on the “if you are a calgarian ” web site this morning and there were posts “do you remember Happy Valley, and Paskapoo” Some one mentioned Joe had passed away. I just wanted to let you know Heather that I have great memories of him. My father had a Drug Store on Knob Hill in Calgary and he knew Mrs. Couillard and Joe. Because of this my sister and I ended up being enrolled in the Happy Valley ski school. I was all of five when I learned. Having that ski school was great….. I always looked forward to Saturdays in the winter, spending the day at the ski hill. Joe was like a big brother he would always tease me. He was so good with young people. Then when Joe moved over to Paskapoo we used to ski there as well, lots of times at night, which thanks to him we were able to do. The ski industry is so lucky they had Joe, he did a fantastic job, you must be so proud . And when I read the news this morning , at this very late date, I just wanted to say how very sorry I was to hear that you lost Joe at such a young age.
