Obituary of Edith Rebecca Clapson

It is with sincere sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, and great-great aunt. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Bow View Manor, on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at the age of 80 years. Edith was born on October 22, 1926 in Ridgedale, SK. She was a kind, generous, caring person. Working for forty-five years at several jobs serving the public, finally joining Henry Birks in Saskatoon where she served for twenty-nine years. She indeed earned many stars in her crown. She is survived by two brothers, Ted (Ella) of Ridgedale, SK and Jim (Bryce) of Calgary; sister-in-law Evelyn Clapson of Melfort, SK; four nieces, Linda Peterson of Nipawin, SK, Karon Gauryliuk (John) of Andrew AB, Gloria Hensel (Garry) of Westbank, BC, Janice Clapson of Montreal, QC; four nephews, Larry Clapson (Sharon) of Ridgedale, SK, Denis Clapson (Sylvia) of Regina SK, Melvin Clapson (Barbara) of Ridgedale, SK and Bryan Clapson (Lori) of Ponoka, AB; eighteen great nieces and nephews; fifteen great-great nieces and nephews; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Edith was predeceased by her parents Lilian and Stanley Clapson; and two brothers Raymond Clapson and Roy Clapson. Funeral Services will be held in Ridgedale, SK at a later date.
