Obituary of Shirley Irish

It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Irish of Calgary announces her passing on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the age of 80, following a brief illness. Our mother was a resident of Grace Manor for the past four and a half years. She was an extraordinarily kind and caring person who devoted her life to helping others. We will greatly miss our mother every day for the rest of our lives. Mom is survived by five children, Graham of Calgary, Brian and his wife Lorna of Simmie, SK, Michael of Montreal, Patricia of Calgary and Daniel and his partner Laureen of Calgary. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jessica Irish and her children Braydon and Alyia of Swift Current, SK, Jason Almost of Cochrane, AB, Matthew Almost of Calgary and Evan Irish of Calgary. Mom will be greatly missed by many friends, including her dear friends of fifty years Ada Eldridge of Calgary and Vera Morris of Vancouver, B.C. Everyone will remember our mother for her impeccable character and courage. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church (1009 – 15th Avenue S.W.) on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
