Obituary of Henry Johnson
Harry James Johnson, beloved husband of Agatha of Calgary, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2007 at the age of 82 years.
Harry was a devoted husband, father and granddad. He served with pride in the RCAF during WWII following which he obtained a BSC in Forestry from the University of New Brunswick in 1950. He then went on to a career with the Canadian Forestry Service, retiring in 1984. Harry’s love of the outdoors led to a happy retirement golfing, fishing and hiking with family and friends. His kind manner and gentle spirit will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Harry is survived by Agatha, his wife of 54 years; his daughter Patricia; his son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Gillian; his grandchildren Eric and Andrea; his brother and sister-in-law Fred and Marie; and his sister Claire Stubbs. Harry’s cherished memory will be forever held close in the hearts of his family and friends. The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers of unit 73 and ICU of the Rockyview Hospital.
A Celebration of Harry’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
