Obituary of Bryn Collingwood
It is with great sadness that the family of Bryn Collingwood announces his unexpected passing on Sunday, April 29, 2007 at the age of 55 years.
Bryn was born in 1951 in England to John and Audrey Collingwood. He immigrated to Canada with his family and became a Canadian Citizen in 1975. Bryn grew up in Edmonton, married in 1980 and settled in Calgary with his wife Wendy and his sons Jason Evans (1973-1992), Michael and Jesse. Bryn leaves behind many respected friends and colleagues at Mount Royal College where he had been working for over twenty years. “Grampa” was a voracious reader, a faithful Manchester United follower and an enthusiastic Baltimore Ravens fan. He also enjoyed music and playing guitar. Bryn was an avid model railroader but his love and unselfish devotion to his family was foremost. For this we thank him. He will forever remain a part of us.
Bryn is survived by his loving wife Wendy, Michael and Jenn, his grandson Kyein, Jesse and Aubrey, Jason and Terry Thomas, his grandson Kaden, Bryn’s brothers Laurie and Andy and families, his sister Eileen and family, nephews, nieces, and so many more.
