Obituary of Janet Baker

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Janet Baker after a valiant battle with lung cancer on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at the age of 74 years. Janet was born in Coalhurst, AB and spent her younger years in Shaughnessy and Lethbridge before moving to Calgary. Due to Ed’s business travel, Janet was the main home care giver and her love and influence was felt throughout her immediate and extended family. She documented family histories of both families and has left a proud heritage for them. Janet is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years Ed; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Beth, Rodney and Louise; grandchildren, Brisbin and Findley; two brothers, John (Maria) Lothian and Don (Gillian) Lothian; and numerous nephews and nieces. Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service to be held in Lethbridge at Mountain View Cemetery (1210 Scenic Drive South) on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Larry Hankinson, officiating. A Remembrance Gathering will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #004 (324 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB). Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
