Obituary of Cheryl Ann Russell

Cheryl Ann Russell joined the angels on Saturday April 21, 2007, after losing her battle with cancer, at the age of 58 years. Cheryl was born in Calgary, migrated to Vancouver, and later returned back to Calgary. As a child Cheryl was raised in foster care. She gave back to the foster care program and became a care giver for troubled teens with Woods Christian Homes. Most recently she became a partner in running Tahiti Tans Salon in Midnapore, with her husband, Gord. Cheryl’s good times included Christmas (bountiful with food and presents!) and “camping” at their beautiful trailer in Tall Timbers in Sundre. Everyone who knew Cheryl saw that she sparkled like a diamond! Our words cannot express the depth of our sorrow, for having lost such a wonderful woman, so young in her life. Cheryl will be remembered, Forever and Always, by her husband Gord; son Rick Chorney, daughter-in-law Gem; son Mike Chorney and girlfriend Marcia Fonseca; step-children Mike and Diane Russell; and, of course, Cheryl’s precious grandbabies, Jade and Nathan Chorney.
