Obituary of Margaret Petersen

Margrethe, beloved mother of Vera (Conrad) Hutney, grandmother of Claudette (Terry) Antoniuk, and great-grandmother of Leah passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2007 three months before her 100th birthday. Margaret was born in Helnaes, Denmark and immigrated to Alberta in 1927. A long-time resident of South Calgary, Grandma loved her family, friends, house, garden, and pets, all of whom thrived under her care and attention. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Svend. A memorial service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Danish Lutheran Church (130 – 32nd Avenue N.W. Calgary, AB T2E 2G5). Special thanks to Bhea Mamauag, her care-giver for the past year and staff of Foothills Hospital unit 111.
