Obituary of Doris Myers

Doris Myers of Calgary passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at the age of 83 years. Doris was born on May 28, 1923 in Bournemouth, England. She met Glenn, a Canadian soldier in 1943 and they married in February 1946. They spent the next twenty-one years together, raising their family in England. In 1968 Doris and her family immigrated to Canada. Doris attended Christ Moravian Church starting in 1969, where she enjoyed the activities and all of the friendships she had made over the years. She was especially grateful for the friendship of Helen and Frank Myers. Doris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David and Norma Myers of Winnipeg, MB and her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Bryon Muhly of Hinton, AB. Her three grandchildren were a great joy in her life and she will be forever remembered by her grandsons, Tyler and Nathan and by her granddaughter Rebecca. She was predeceased by her husband Glenn and by her twin brother who was killed in action in 1944. Funeral Services will be held at Christ Moravian Church (600 Acadia Drive S.E.) on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 2:00p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
