Obituary of Irene DePatie
Irene DePatie of Calgary, surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the age of 71 years.
Irene was born February 19, 1936 in Yorkton, SK, the youngest child of Mary and Joseph Matus. She grew up in Yorkton, moving to Regina and then on to Calgary where she met and married Arthur DePatie in 1963. Irene was an endearing lady who had many friends and acquaintances. Irene is survived by Arthur, her loving husband of forty-four years; her three beloved children, Christine (Dean) Luca, Michael (Holly) DePatie and Jim DePatie, all of Calgary; three grandchildren, Steven, Matthew and Jordan. She is also survived by her sister Josephine (Bill) Yancey of Winnipeg, MB and her brother Edward (Shirley) Matus of Regina, SK. Irene was predeceased by her parents.
We wish to thank the staff at the Peter Lougheed Centre and the Palliative Home Care nurses and doctors for the professional and kind consideration they provided to Irene and her family during her illness.
