Obituary of Shirley Toone

Shirley Evelyn Toone of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at the age of 86 years. Shirley was born on December 23, 1920 in Granum, Alberta. She managed AGT Credit Union in Calgary for a number of years prior to retirement. Shirley’s focus throughout life was her family and she had a special love of camping, especially tenting at Gray Creek Campground on Kooteney Lake, BC. She was a very active volunteer with different organizations throughout Calgary. Shirley is survived by her children, Fred and Penny Toone of Calgary and Carol and Bob Abbott of Tisdale, SK.; three grandchildren, Ken, John (Joanne) Toone and Wesley Abbott; four great-grandchildren, Ella and Ben, Amy and Tannisha. She was predeceased by her husband Allan and grandchild Amber.
