Obituary of Geraldine Lilian Jefferies

Geraldine (Gerry) Lilian Jefferies (nee Jones) of Calgary passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2007 at the age of 81 years. Gerry was born on November 21, 1925 in Tewkesbury, England and immigrated to Canada as a young lady. She married Scotty Jefferies on May 22, 1948 in Calgary. One of Gerry’s first jobs was at Campbell’s Florist. In the mid 60’s she worked with her friends at Tanahill’s Knit Shop in Brittania. She and Scotty enjoyed their home in Vernon, BC and their winter home in Sun Lakes, AZ. Gerry is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Sharon Jefferies of Calgary; and two grandsons, Shane of Kamloops, BC and Glenn of Calgary. She was predeceased by her husband Scotty on August 9, 1988. He was an integral part of Consolidated Concrete and well known in the local construction industry.
