Obituary of Hans Labuhn
Hans Labuhn, beloved husband of Ilse Labuhn of Calgary, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, on Saturday April 7, 2007, at the age of 87 years.
Hans was born on November 5, 1919 in Felsengut, Ukraine, and immigrated to Canada on March 6, 1973. He was a loving and devoted family man as well as an active member of his church. Hans will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Besides his loving wife, Ilse, Hans is survived by his daughters, Ilse (David) Schilling of Houston, Texas, Erna (Thomas) Hyde of Bangalore, India, and Erika (Axel) Dyckerhoff of Calgary; as well as his thirteen grandchildren. He will also be remembered by his sisters Hildegard Harwardt, and Lydia (Werner) Schmidt; his brother-in-law Rolf Maurer of Darmstadt, Germany; sister-in-law Liza Labuhn of Lethbridge; as well as many nieces and nephews. Hans was predeceased by his parents; two sisters; and two brothers.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, April 11, 2007, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Calgary Church of God (637 – 17 Avenue N.E.) on Thursday April 12, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. Graveside service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
