Obituary of Chonita D. Abad

Chonita D. Abad, beloved wife of Edgardo, of Calgary passed away on Friday, April 6, 2007 at the age of 59 years. Chonita was born on January 2, 1948 in Ozamiz City, Philippines and came to Calgary in 1972. She was a long time member of St. Mark’s and St. Luke’s Catholic Churches. Chonita was active in the CWL and as Eucharistic Minister and a greeter for the evening Mass. She was always available and willing to help others. Chonita enjoyed organizing and decorating the church and reception hall for weddings and other functions. Besides her loving husband Edgardo, Chonita is survived by her children Chona Fe and E. Alan; five sisters Evelyn, Stella, Patria, Elizabeth, and Jennifer; four brothers Nestor Jr., Alexander, Edgar, and Samuel; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Chonita was predeceased by her parents Nestor Sr. and Patricia (Doroy) Abamonga. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
