Obituary of Gernot Kostera

Gernot Kostera, of Calgary, passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, April 5, 2007. Besides his wife Birgit, Gernot is survived by his children, Tina, Lexi and David all of Calgary; his sister Heidi Berger and brother Ray Schnegelsberg. A Celebration of Gernot’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Trust Fund in Gernot’s name will also be announced supporting young athletes in the sport of Biathlon.
