Obituary of Jean Hunter

Jean Hunter of Calgary passed away on Friday, March 30, 2007 at the age of 83 years. Jean was born on April 1, 1923 in London, England. She was a war bride marrying Douglas Arthur Hunter on May 10, 1941. They came to Canada on January 6, 1945 with their son Robert Douglas Hunter. They settled in Calgary, moving to Rimbey to farm where Carol Jean Hunter was born. They returned to Calgary for awhile before moving to Edmonton where Jean and Art started the family business, later moving it to Calgary. Jean retired in 1988 and was active in both cross stitch and needle work. She also loved to play bingo. Jean is survived by her brother Edward “Ted” Mulliss of England; son and daughter-in-law Robert Douglas and Lois Hunter of Langley, BC; and her daughter and son-in-law Carol Jean and Larry Fulkerson of Bend, OR; grandchildren, Wendy Jean Lancaster of Phoenix, AZ, and Joseph Frederick Lancaster of Bend, OR. She was predeceased by her husband Art.
