Obituary of Russell Morris Ames

Russell (Russ) Morris Ames of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at the age of 78 years. Russ was born on September 5, 1928 in Neepawa, MB and was raised in Kenora, ON. He married Doreen Baker in 1950 in Kenora and they immediately moved to Calgary. Russ was employed with Dominion Bridge, CIL Explosives and later painted houses until his retirement. Russ is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Janine and Bill Atchison of Red Deer, Debby and Shad Foster of Calgary; and two grandchildren, Trevor Atchison and Tyler Foster. Russ will also be missed by his special friend Isabelle Gordon of Calgary. He was predeceased by his wife Doreen in 2002; his son Brent Ames in 1999; grandson Donald Atchison in 2004; and twelve siblings.
