Obituary of Donald Balan

It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Balan of Calgary announce his passing on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at the age of 64 years. Don was born in Wayne, AB and was raised in East Coulee. He moved to Calgary in 1959. Don will be forever remembered by Sharon, his loving wife of forty-two years; his son and daughter-in law Michael and Shelley Balan; his daughter and son-in-law Marnie and Steve Rogers and sister Dianne White. Don was especially proud of and lived for his four grandchildren, Jackson, Brenden, James and Kennedy. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim and Olga MacLellan and Gary and Ali MacLellan, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Don was predeceased by his mother Celene in 1971, father Mike in 1985 and brother-in-law Allen White in 2006.
