Obituary of Giuseppe Talerico

Giuseppe (Joe) Talerico passed away peacefully on March 25, 2007, at the age of 80, surrounded by family. He was born in 1926 in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy. It was there he met his beautiful wife Teresa whom he married in 1949. Together they immigrated to Calgary, Canada in 1960 with their three strapping young boys; John, Louie and Dom. Shortly after arriving in Canada they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Maria. Giuseppe was a quiet, loving, family man who had incredible wit and a keen sense of humour. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and was known for hosting large family gatherings where he served his legendary homemade red wine. Giuseppe was predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Teresa; his brother Luigi; his sisters Filomena and Maria; as well as his mother and father in-law Giuseppe and Maria Sirianni. Giuseppe will be lovingly remembered by his beautiful wife Teresa; sons John (Jean), Louie (Lori) and Dom (Deb); daughter Maria; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; fourteen nieces and nephews in France and Italy; and eleven nieces and nephews in Canada.
