Obituary of June Mitton

June Marie Mitton passed away on Friday, March 23, 2007 at the age of 76 years. June was born July 1, 1930 and raised in Marysville, NB. After graduation she worked for the Canadian Cotton Mill in Marysville. It was there that she met and married Keith, with whom she would spend the next 58 years . When the cotton mill closed, Keith joined the Canadian Armed Forces and posted to Calgary in 1954. June later took a job at the Hudson’s Bay Company, which she held for twenty years. June loved summer time and working in her garden. June and Keith both enjoyed bowling with a mixed league on Friday nights at Mountainview Bowling. Later, June took up golfing and enjoyed getting out with her friends. June will be sadly missed by all her friends and family, especially her husband Keith Mitton; her daughter and son-in-law Connie and Daryl George of Calgary; her three son’s and daughters-in-law, Randy and Maureen Mitton of Leduc, AB, Mike and Sue Mitton, Tim and Kim Mitton, both of Calgary; six grandchildren, Mike (Janine) Mitton of Devon, AB, Jeff (Kristen) Mitton of Red Deer, AB, Jason (Jessica) George, Kirk (Randee) George, Ben Mitton, and Lindsay Mitton, all of Calgary; her great grand-daughter Abigail Mitton of Devon, AB; and her brother and sister-in law, Art and Marg Stafford of Fredericton, NB. June was predeceased by her parents Percy and Ruby Stafford.
