Obituary of Sarah Jaques

Sarah Laird Jaques of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the age of 90 years. Throughout her ninety years Sarah faced many challenges and she met them with dignity and determination. Where others may have seen clouds, Sarah saw silver linings. Sarah’s faith in God, her spirit of gratitude, and her optimism will forever inspire us all. Sarah will be fondly remembered by her nephews, Jack, Raymond, Brian and Ernie Gorrie and by her nieces Joan Pedlar, Margaret Dinsdale and Ruth McBratney. She was predeceased by her parents John and Sarah Gorrie; brothers Jack, Alec, Peter and David and by her sister Kate. A family gathering will be held at a later date.
