Obituary of Gerardo Grey
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Gerardo on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the age of 67 years.
Gerardo obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree at San Beda College, Manila, Philippines. Prior to coming to Canada in 1968, he worked for various companies in Manila. He worked for Canada Post Corporation for twenty-five years before his retirement in May, 2004. Gerardo was a simple man who enjoyed simple pleasures. He was very thoughtful, caring, and compassionate with others and had a good sense of humour. He was most happy listening and dancing with his wife to Sinatra songs. Most of all, Gerardo was devoted in every way to his family. He looked forward to his retirement knowing that he could spend more time with his two adorable grandchildren, Mira and Emma.
Besides Evelyn, his loving wife of thirty-six years, Gerardo leaves behind his daughter Tricia (Michael); grandchildren Mira and Emma; his son Gabriel and fiancée Charishe; his sisters, Luz (Ruben) and Gina; brother Bobby (Pearlie); brother-in-law Dido (Angie); sister-in-law Grace; mother-in-law Araceli; step-mother, Susana; nieces, Sophia, Aurora, Isabel, Cristina, Rachel, Cheryl and Sharleen; nephews, Raul, Ron and Brandon as well as his paternal and maternal relatives in Calgary, Vancouver, California, Las Vegas, Sudbury, Toronto and Alaska. He was predeceased by his father, Roberto, mother, Maxima and father-in-law Sergio.
