Obituary of John Allan Stephure

John Allan Stephure of Cochrane passed away on Monday, March 12, 2007 at the age of 89 years. John was born on February 12, 1918 in Round Hill, AB and attended school and Business College in Round Hill and Camrose, AB. He worked for the Federal Government in Edmonton and Lethbridge, before retiring in 1974. John enjoyed his family, playing golf, watching for robins on his lawn, cuddling with his animals, photography and listening to music. John will be missed by his children, John W. Stephure (Meredith), of Cochrane, Dr. David Stephure (Christine), and Richard Stephure (Eva), all of Calgary, and Joy Brennan (Doug), of Bragg Creek; ten grandchildren, Rob, Matt, Anne-Marie, Tim, Carolyn, Janine, Logan, Cameron, Jackson and Carson. John was predeceased by his wife Joyce in 2006, and by his ten brothers and sisters. “Glory to God, who in the multitude of saints has compassed us about with so great a cloud of witnesses, that we, rejoicing in their fellowship, may run with patience the race that is set before us, and together with them may receive the crown of glory that fades not away.” Funeral Services will be held at the All Saints’ Anglican Church, formerly St. Mary’s Catholic Church, located at 404 – 4th Avenue North, Cochrane, AB on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev.
