Obituary of Ping-Kee Kwok

Ping-Kee Kwok went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the age of 85 years. Ping-Kee was born and raised in Guangzhou, China. After graduating from Wah Yan College, Hong Kong, he assisted his father in the family business. He met and married his wife, Kit-Jing of sixty years in Guangzhou. Together they moved to Hong Kong where they established their family and businesses in Shell gasoline and automobile parts. The family immigrated to Canada in 1980 and settled in Calgary during 1993. It was here that Ping-Kee and his wife were baptized. Along with his success in business, Ping-Kee aimed to have a godly family. Ping-Kee enjoyed life, traveling, soccer, swimming, and in recent years he gained an interest in computers. He always loved being with family and friends. Ping-Kee is survived by his children: Frances (Leon) of New York, Mary (Alain) of Toronto, Yvonne (Pak Keong) of Calgary, Sunny (Rita) of Toronto, and Edmund (Fior) of Hong Kong; and eleven grandchildren, Clement (Candace), Jeremy, Melanie, Justin, Arthur, Andrew, Amanda, Chantelle, Jasmine, Sherlotte, and Long Long. He also leaves behind a brother, two sisters, and much beloved extended family. Ping-Kee was predeceased by his son, Chiu-Yee and his wife Kit-Jing. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) today, March 13, 2007 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A celebration of Ping-Kee’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 12:30 pm. The family extends its heart felt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and support staff at the ICU of the Rockyview General Hospital; the staff and volunteers of The Calgary Chinese Elderly Citizens’ Association; Dr. S. Y. Lam; as well as the South Calgary Home Care Team, especially to Ms. Linda Walsh, Ms. Terry Haines, and Ms. Melody Orford. The family sincerely thanks the members of South Gate Alliance Church for their continuous care, love, support, and prayer.
