Obituary of Clarence Norman Nicolay

Nic Nicolay, beloved husband of Mrs. Doris Nicolay of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday March 6, 2007, at the age of 86 years. Nic blessed us by always encouraging us to engage our minds as well as our hearts, inspiring us to find our voice and to be heard. Nic had a profound impact on those who knew him and we will all carry a part of him forever. He is loved with love beyond all telling and missed with grief beyond all tears. After the war Nic served with Lord Strathcona’s Horse and retired in the rank of Major. He also volunteered as the founding editor of the Strathcona Regimental Newsletter for thirteen years and was employed with the City of Calgary as Manager of Human Resources Development Division from 1969 to 1985.
