Obituary of Kelly Q.C.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, brother and grandfather, Michael Kelly, on Monday, March 5, 2007. Michael was born on July 11, 1931 in Calgary, AB. He entered Law School at the University of Toronto. After graduating, he returned to Calgary to practice law where he enjoyed a distinguished legal career. Michael started the law firm of Kelly & Kelly with his brother Robert in the mid 1960’s. Michael married Helen on February 7, 1962 and raised four sons. His passions were gardening, playing bridge and billiards. Michael spent endless summer days and nights tending to his garden at their Lakeview home. Playing bridge is a Kelly family tradition and many Christmas days saw Michael along with his father and brothers around the bridge table after a big turkey dinner. Michael is survived by his wife Helen; four sons, Terry, Patrick (Sonia), Kevin, Chris; grandson Willam; brothers, Donald (Doris), Robert (Rosemarie); and sister-in-law Marion.
