Obituary of Shirley Debeurs

Shirley DeBeurs, beloved wife of John Taylor of Calgary passed away on Friday, March 2, 2007 at the age of 55 years. Shirley was born in China on November 7, 1951. She immigrated with her parents to Canada in 1964. She attended the University of Saskatchewan and Grant McEwan College in Edmonton where she received her C.R.M. and FIIC Professional Designation. Shirley worked for over twenty years in the Insurance Industry, where she was well respected. She lived in Saskatoon, Toronto, Edmonton and finally moving to Calgary in 2003. She was a member of the Symons United Church, the Insurance Institute of Southern Alberta, as well as the Society of Fellows. Besides her loving husband John, Shirley will be remembered by her sons, Jesse and Aaron; her mother Sue Sim Lew; her brothers, Lloyd (Connie) Lew and William (Lily) Lew and her nephews, Aaron and Jefferson, all of Calgary. She was predeceased by her father Chuck Quon Lew. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, March 5, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Northminster United Church (3311 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
