Obituary of Roger Lee McConnell
Roger Lee McConnell of Calgary, beloved husband of Kathleen, of Calgary passed away on February 28, 2007, after a two year battle with cancer, at the age of 39 years.
Roger was born June 23, 1967 in Calgary. Raised in Calgary he worked for many years at ACE Construction. Roger enjoyed and spent his quite times in his garage making puzzles or other gadgets for family and friends. Throughout his illness Roger maintained his sense of humour.
Roger was a loving husband, father, brother and friend and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen; two daughters Sarah and Stephanie; three sisters, Lila McConnell, Rose (Theo) Michaelbrink and Bonnie Lycka, as well as his aunt Edith (Frank); numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by his mother Margaret McConnell; brother Arthur James and sister Linda Lou.
Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, March 5th, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation (Brain Cancer Research), 1331 – 29 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 4N2
