Von Mirbach

Obituary of Von Mirbach

Lynn passed away quietly on Friday February 23, 2007, at the Chinook Hospice in Calgary, after a four year battle with cancer. Lynn spent the last eighteen years making a wonderful home for her family and taking care of her pets. Before that she worked at Canadian Hunter and at a number of law firms in Calgary. Her great pleasures, after her family, were walking Gypsy with the “Kennel Klub” in Parkdale, her flowers, and observing the antics of the birds and squirrels in the area. It was perhaps significant that the cedar waxwings flocked the neighbourhood in her last days and now they are gone. No one will forget her distinctive laugh; her spirit will remain with us until the end of our days. She will be sorely missed by her husband Carl; daughter Marika; and son Anders. She is also survived by her parents Shirley and Reginald (Jerry) Munden; and her brothers Paul, Tom and Chris and their families, all in the greater Toronto area. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday March 2, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. Please forward condolences to lynnvonmirbach@yahoo.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to Calgary Health Trust for Palliative Home Care, Suite 800, 11012 MacLeod Trail S.E., Calgary, AB T2J 6A5, Telephone: (403)943-0615.
