Obituary of Constance Gelinas

Letitia Gelinas passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the age of 78 years. Born at a farm near Maidstone, SK on July 2, 1928, our mother spent her younger years growing up in Battleford, SK. She eventually moved to Calgary to live and raise her family. Mom was an angel on earth that gave each person she met a reason to smile. She loved traveling to the mountains and especially enjoyed her trips to Victoria. Letitia spent many hours with family and friends singing hymns, reading poetry and in conversation. Mom had a wonderful sense of humour and enjoyed her daily strolls. The sound of laughter was always nearby. Her passion for singing and her beautiful artwork brought joy to all. Mom’s love, courage and her profound faith in Jesus Christ will always be cherished and remembered. In the arms of our heavenly Father, mother rests in peace. Letitia will be lovingly remembered by her children, Douglas, Joel, Bonny (John) O’Reilly, David (Susan), Roland, and Mona (Bruce) Nighswander; her grandchildren, Lindsay, James, Lisa, Matthew, and Colin; her two sisters, Marlene (Bud) Leece and Darlene Swidrowich; the Foulds Family; and numerous nieces and nephews. At Letitia’s request a private family ceremony will be held. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
