Obituary of James DeCelles

It is with great sadness that we announce the quiet passing of “Jim” DeCelles, beloved husband of Emelie Gaudet in Calgary on Monday, February 19, 2007 Born and raised in Montreal, Jim had maintained many close friendships from his early school days and from the 37 years he worked at Imperial Tobacco. He truly cherished his friendships with “The Boys”. His greatest satisfaction in the last 4 years was his voluntary work at Woodbine School, reading and working with children. He loved them and they loved “Mr. Jim”. He will be dearly missed by his daughter Janice Taylor, and son Norman (Maureen Trudel) of Montreal; as well as his grandchildren Karen (Roger Horvath) and Paul Taylor of Vancouver and Devon DeCelles of Edinburgh, Scotland. He is also survived by his brother William Robert of Vancouver; many nieces, nephews; and friends in Calgary, Montreal and Moncton. He was predeceased by his brother Norman and sister Lillian (Corbett), of Montreal. In keeping with his wishes, friends and family are cordially invited to a “Celebration of his Life” to be held at McInnis & Holloway, Park Memorial Chapel, (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Saturday, February 24, 2007 from 2 to 4 PM. Formal services and inurnment will follow at a later date in Montreal. Condolences may be sent to www.mcinnis&holloway.com.
