Obituary of Laurel McCloy
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Laurel Nina McCloy on Monday February 19, 2007. She died peacefully at Southwood Hospice at the age of 83.
Laurel was born in 1923 in American Falls, Idaho, and moved to Calgary, Alberta, in her early teens where she remained for the duration of her life. She was married to Terrence Robert McCloy in 1941 and they spent sixty-three happy years together until he passed away in 2003. Together they had two wonderful sons, Terrence Jr. (1943), who lives in Los Angeles and D’Arcy (1945), who passed away in 1990.
Laurel will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Terrence; her grandson Paul and his wife Meredith; her great-grandson Cameron; her granddaughter Jane and her husband Ross; her daughter-in-law Carol; as well as a number of other relatives and friends.
The family warmly invites all who knew Laurel to attend the service at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Saturday February 24, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through mcinnisandholloway.com.
