Obituary of Gerald Kaquitts
Gerald Kaquitts, has been called home by our Creator on Sunday, February 18 2007 after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 56 years.
Gerald was born on October 19, 1950 in Morley, AB. He will be remembered and loved by his devoted wife of thirty-six years, Rhonda Kaquitts, who remained by his side until his passing.
Gerald is survived by his five children, Jeremy (Lisa), Angela, Fletcher, Holly, Kathy; four grandchildren Naomi, Katelyn, Navee and Davis; brother Frank H. (Gayleen); sisters, Joanne, Karen (Alister), Denise (Patrick), Vera (Stan). Bernadette (Stefan); brother-in-law Roland Rollingmud; sisters-in-law Doris Rollingmud, Helen Wesley (John); adopted brothers Fouad Kardy and Ellis Quarshire; uncles and aunts, Watson K., Georgie K, Donna K, Alice K., Macdonald C. (Georgia), Walter C. (Helen), Lawerence C. Paul C. (Sharon), Winnifred S., and Helene C.; as well as numerous other relatives and friends from Morley, Big Horn, Eden Valley and Hobbema. Gerald was predeceased by his infant son Kyle Anthony David Kaquitts, parents Frank (Sittingwind) and Kathleen Kaquitts, sisters Doreen Kaquitts, Barbara Kay Kaquitts, grandparents Jean Baptiste-morin, Mary Stoney, John and Sarah Chiniquay and by his favourite aunt Margaret Chiniquay.
Wake Services will be held at his residence (Morley, AB.) on Wednesday and Thursday, February 21 and 22, 2007. Funeral Service will be held at the Morley Gymnasium (Morley, AB) on Friday, February 23, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at the family plot, Morley, AB. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, the Rosedale Hospice, and the Canmore Municipal Hospital.
