Obituary of Van Oosten

Rudolf (Rudy) Van Oosten, beloved husband of Yukiko of Calgary, passed away on Monday February 19, 2007, at the age of 79 years. Rudy was born on June 22, 1927 in Den Hague. He went to the Art Institute of Holland, then moved to Toronto in 1962 and Calgary in 1974. In 1980 he married Yukiko. Rudy was an avid gardener and skier and had a passion for his dogs, cookies and chocolates. His greatest achievement was the birth of his children Romano and Renata. Besides his loving wife Yukiko, Rudy is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Romano and Zita of Toronto; daughter Renata of Vancouver; and grandchildren Erik, Tanya, Mark and Gena. He was predeceased by his mother, father, brothers and sisters. A Celebration of Rudy’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday March 2, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
