Obituary of John Sheahan

John Sheahan, much loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on Monday February 19, 2007, at Agape Hospice at the age of 67 years. He will be lovingly remembered for his compassion, sense of humour, integrity, humility, steadfastness, stubbornness, and his love of Christ, family and friends. He was a true good Samaritan, always quick to lend a hand or an ear. He loved gardening, debating, volunteering, travel and sharing his love of Christ with those he met. He shared his much love and devotion with those he met while volunteering at Agape Manor and Harvest Hills Alliance Church, among others. His love for his family, and especially his grandchildren, was beyond measure. His life and example will continue to be celebrated by his wife Jacqueline; his daughter Dawn Bennett; his son Mark and daughter-in-law Maranda Sheahan; his grandchildren Connor, Madison, and Gracie; his brothers David and Dan; and his sisters Margaret (Peg) and Aileen; as well as the many more folks who knew and loved him. His smile, his jokes, his generosity, and his heart of gold will be deeply missed. His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ – Matthew 25:21 Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday February 22, 2007 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Harvest Hills Alliance Church (199 Harvest Wood Drive N.E.) on Friday February 23, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through mcinnisandholloway.com.
