Obituary of Gudrun Schroeder

The family of Gudrun Schroeder announces her passing on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at the age of 76 years. Gudrun spent more than four decades in this city and touched the lives of many people with her self-giving love. In her final days Gudrun was upheld by the love and prayers of the people of God, and especially her sisters Friedrun, Reinhild, Sieghilt, Gundula, and her sister-in-law Ruth. Gudrun is lovingly remembered by her husband Berend; sons and their spouses, Curt and Pat, Marc and Leslie, and Claude and Hilary; her daughter-in-law Leona Schroeder; and grandchildren, Michelle, Hartley, Winston, Christofer, Matthew, Nicholas, Anna, Lukas, Stephen, and Alyssa. She was predeceased by her son Olaf. The family warmly invites all her friends and neighbours, including those from her music, hiking, and church community to a prayer service to be held at St. Stephen’s Ukrainian Catholic Church (4903 – 45th Street S.W.) on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. as well as a Celebration of Divine Liturgy at St. Stephen’s Ukrainian Catholic Church (4903 – 45th Street S.W.) on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev.
