Obituary of Hazel Audrey Braun

Hazel Audrey Braun of Calgary, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the age of 80 years. Hazel had a positive attitude and loved to laugh. She was an avid canasta player and shopper. Hazel was always there for her family and friends to help whenever needed. She worked at the Albertan newspaper in Calgary. Hazel married Rupert Smith, lived in Alaska and Alabama where they raised their son Brian. She returned to Calgary, married and survived her second husband Ted Braun. Hazel will be forever remembered by her son Brian Smith of Birmingham, Alabama; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Ashley; as well as two great grandchildren, Evan and Aliya. She is also survived by her sisters and brother-in-law, Helen Silver, and Joyce and Ron Skene, all of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, dear friends and relatives. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, February 16, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
