Obituary of Mario Vergara Galang

Mario Vergara Galang of Calgary passed away on February 7, 2007, after a brief hospitalization. Mario, a rich man in heart and spirit, gave generously of himself and the spirit of God and will be dearly be missed by all. He was born in Manila, Philippines on October 22, 1929, and became a Canadian citizen in 2005. Mario is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carolina, by his loving family, and all those who came to know him. His children are Mario Jr., Albert, Amy, Ronnie, and Ericson, all of the Philippines, Jenny and Teresita of Hong Kong, and Yolanda of Calgary. Mario was from a large family and is survived by Cleotilde and Jessie. In addition, the family includes many husbands, wives, 21 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Friday, February 9, 2007 at 1:00p.m. with The Rev.
