Obituary of Ann Stewart
Ann Caroline Stewart of Calgary passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2007 at the age of 91 years.
Ann was born December 9, 1915 in Oklee, Minnesota, USA. At the age of sixteen months, Ann came to settle in the Buffalo Lake area in Northern Alberta. She married Frank Stewart on November 16, 1944 and they came to live in Calgary where Ann has resided for over sixty years. Ann worked for many years as a secretary for Parrish and Hinebrecker and later for Western Stoves, retiring in 1977. She loved to travel and has enjoyed many trips throughout Europe, China and Australia. She also enjoyed knitting and crafts, making numerous afghans which she generously donated to the Calgary hospitals and the underprivileged.
Ann is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Agnes and Eric Carlson; nephews and nieces, Donna Hanson, Wayne Hanson, Valerie (Sateen) Katarey and Renny (Joanne) Carlson; step-son, Ken (Kay) Stewart. She was predeceased by her parents, Kari and Anders Dahl; brothers, Joel and Alf Dahl; sister Petra Hanson; half sisters, Johanna Selettevold, Clara Kunz and Esther Varin.
