Obituary of John Weigel

John Weigel, beloved husband of Lena Weigel of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at the age of 79 years. John was born on November 14, 1927 in Unity, SK. He will be remembered as “the carpenter with the cowboy hat”. He was a loving husband to Lena and proud father of his family, Patty and Len Bellingham of Calgary, Donna Joehnck of Calgary, Richard and Nancy Weigel of Okotoks, Denise and Bob Jaggard of Calgary, and Dan and Maureen Weigel of Calgary; thirteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Klaus Joehnck in 1999. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church (321 – 90th Avenue S.E.) on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Bruce Schute SAC, Presider.
