Obituary of Robert MacPherson

Rob MacPherson, beloved husband of Kerry MacPherson, of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 60 years. Rob had a passion for flying. He flew many types of aircraft throughout his 40 year career and retired a Captain of a 727 with a commercial airline. Rob also had a deep love for the outdoors. He enthusiastically pursued activities like bow hunting, tennis and golf among many others. Besides his loving wife Kerry, Rob is survived by his stepson Chris Curtis; his siblings and their spouses, Malcolm and Terry MacPherson, Don and Maurine MacPherson, and Barb and Dave Peterson; as well as his sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Laurie and Dave McInnes and Hugh Esling. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews and their spouses, Mark (Darlene), Caroline, Robert, Loree (Darby), Wade (Michelle), Tanya (Chris), Tracy (Mark), David, Taylor and Jamie; as well as his great nieces and nephews, Kighan, Trajan, Leyton, Kate Jenine, Benjamin and Ava. Rob was predeceased by his parents. Special thanks to Dr. Sheila Scott. We are also extremely grateful for all the help of the caring medical staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. A Celebration of Rob’s life will be held at the Glencoe Club in the West Room (636 – 29 Avenue S.W.
