Obituary of NULL Hammond

Dennis George Hammond beloved husband of Janet Hammond of Calgary, passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the age of 73 years. Dennis was born to Hazel Bernice (nee Walkey) and Albert Edward Hammond on April 8, 1933 in Moncton, NB. He graduated from Moncton High School in 1950 and then attended the University of New Brunswick, graduating in 1954 with a B.Sc. in chemistry. Following graduation, Dennis began employment with the Bonar Packaging Company and held positions in Burlington, ON, Montreal, QC, Fredericton, NB and Calgary. He operated his own advertising company until his retirement in 1990. Dennis was a faithful and tireless volunteer for the Interfaith Food Bank and the C.P.O.’s Benny the Bookworm program. Along with his loving wife of forty-four years Janet (nee Henderson), Dennis will be forever remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and David Johnstone; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Colleen Hammond; and two grandsons, Zachary and Christopher Hammond all of Calgary. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Eileen Hammond and three nieces, Janice, Joanne and Cheryl all of Ottawa, ON. Dennis was predeceased by his parents.
