Obituary of Margaret Brink

It is with great sadness that Andrew and his children announce the death of Margaret “Beryl” Brink (nee McMullen). Beryl passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family, just five days shy of her 80th birthday. Beryl was born in Souris, MB and moved to Calgary at seventeen years of age, where she later met her soul mate Andrew. Beryl raised five children, was a wonderful cook and worked full time for the grain industry. She somehow managed to maintain a vibrant social life which included sorority (Beta Sigma Phi), church activities and two bridge clubs. There was nothing Beryl loved more than picnics, ski holidays and gatherings with family and friends, especially in Waterton, BC and Windermere, BC. Along with her loving husband Andrew (Sir), Beryl is survived by her children and their spouses, David (Jane), Deborah (Tim), Liane, Stephen (Lori) and Carol (Tux); eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Southwood United Church (10690 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire memorial tributes may be made directly to the Southwood United Church (10690 Elbow Drive S.W.) or to the “Windermere Cabin Fund”. The family would like to acknowledge the tender care given by the home care nurses, Carla, Helen and Eunice. In living memory of Beryl Brink, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES Park Memorial Chapel, 5008 ELBOW DRIVE S.W. Telephone: (403) 243-8200.
