Obituary of Rt. Douglas Albert Ford

On Tuesday, January 23, 2007, in his 90th year, Douglas Albert Ford died in Christ. He was ordained a priest in 1942 and consecrated Bishop of Saskatoon, in 1970. He served his Lord with love, joy and dedication in the Anglican Dioceses of Calgary and Saskatoon. Bishop Ford is survived by his loving family: his wife of sixty-two years, Doris; his two sons, Michael (Simon) of Toronto and Stephen (Gloria) of Calgary; his daughter, Kathryn, of Saskatoon; his grandchildren, Rebecca (Aaron), Reena (John), Elizabeth, Tamasin, Simon (Jill), Samantha (Jan), and Jonathan; and six great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Cathedral Church of the Redeemer (218 ‘ 7th Avenue S.E.) Calgary on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment Service in the Columbarium at St. John’s Cathedral, Saskatoon will occur at a later date.
