Obituary of Phyllis Yerxa Evans

Phyllis Yerxa Evans of Calgary passed away on January 16, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Born Phyllis Wright in Boston, MA on January 31, 1919. Her parents died when she was very young and Phyllis was raised by her older sister Eileen Watson in Toronto, ON. Phyllis is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mary Cullen and Terry Thomas; three sons and two daughters-in-law Michael, Martin and Lynda and Patrick and Sandra Cullen; three grandsons Jesse, Liam, and Brodie Cullen; three granddaughters Moira, Maia, and Catherine Cullen. She is also survived by her extended family on the Evans side Laura Evans, Jon Wheatcroft, Ralph and Judy Evans; her grandchildren Katherine Wheatcroft and Clare and Stewart Evans; a well as her “sister” Mary Palmer and extended family. Phyllis was well loved by all who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Holy Name Catholic Church (2223 – 34th Street S.W.) on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church (2223 – 34th Street S.W.) on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev.
