Obituary of Violet Gloria Keen

Violet (Vi) Gloria Keen beloved wife of Bert Keen of Calgary, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2007 at the age of 70 years. Vi was born on January 27, 1936 in Verdun, QC and received her education in Montreal, QC and Victoria, BC as her family resided there for a number of years. She married Bert on July 28, 1962 in Greenfield Park, QC and they later made the move to Calgary in 1974. Vi had a love of flowers which she was able to make into a career by owning and operating her very own flower shop in Calgary, Violet’s Flower Shop. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and friend. Vi’s passions extended into animals and nature as well. Besides her loving husband Bert, Violet is survived by her family, Thomas Keen and Judy Miskulin, Bruce Keen, Susan Keen and Stephen Strong, all of Calgary; as well as four grandchildren, Heather, Kevin, Michelle and David. She is also survived by her brother Edward Deigan of Lachine, QC. Vi was predeceased by her parents Albert and Violet Deigan and by her sister Honor Burke.
